Community Involvement

Ann served on the Board for the Foundation for the Homeless in Austin from 2013-2017 and is a supporter of both the Austin Children's Services and the Boys and Girls Club in the Austin area.

  • Since 1989, the Foundation serves families to help them get back on their feet through professional programs, financial aid, transportation and other services.
  • Austin Children's Services provides services and support to children and troubled youth that have been affected by abuse and neglect.
  • The mission of the Boys and Girls Club is to inspire all young people, especially those who need it most, to realize their full potential and have a place to belong and succeed.

Victoria began her volunteer work in 2007 serving the Christus Spohn system of hospitals in Corpus Christi, TX. Upon moving to Austin in 2009, Victoria began volunteering with the Austin Animal Center, the Central Texas Food Bank, and Dress for Success Austin.

  • A leader in the fight against hunger for nearly 38 years, the Central Texas Food bank nourishes hungry people in 21 Texas counties.
  • The Austin Animal Center provides shelter to more than 16,000 animals annually plus animal protection and pet resource services to Austin and Travis County.
  • The mission of Dress for Success Austin is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and the development tools to help women thrive in work and life.

MJ has had a passion for working with children and children with special needs since the 1990s. She has volunteered with the Ronald McDonald House, the Special Olympics, and Helping Hand Home.

  • The mission of the Ronald McDonal House is to create, find, and support programs that directly improve health and well-being of children and families.
  • The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
  • The mission of Helping Hand Home is to provide a nurturing and therapeutic home for children and to restore each child to a healthy family setting.
